Bermuda - White Roof Buildings
Bermuda is known for their white roofs and due to the scarcity of fresh water; these roofs have become a staple for those living on the island. From the beginning of human habitation on the island the main concern was drinking water. The roofs are fashioned in manner to collect rain water with step-like sloped surface. The water is lead to an underground tank which then is used to pump into the households saving about 40 to 50 percent of the total water a local resident would need.
